Under current legislation, including Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations, all employees involved in the use of abrasive wheels are required to have undertaken suitable and sufficient training, in order to be authorised to operate Abrasive Wheels.

Our Abrasive Wheels Course raises awareness of the dangers of working with Abrasive Wheels & provides your employees with the required training to working safely, easily identify the hazards, understand the risks & know which control measures are needed to prevent injury and ill-health.

Who Should Attend

Workers who are asked to use or come into contact with abrasive, cutting or grinding wheels. Those who supervise such work and those who need familiarizing with the associated regulations.

Content:

  • – Identification of abrasive wheels
  • – Types of abrasive wheels
  • – Handling, Transporting and Storage
  • – Checking and use of discs
  • – Machine/tool checks
  • – Mounting abrasive wheels
  • – Personal Protective Equipment

Refresher training should be given as a minimum every 3 years to maintain personal competency in line current HSE guidance.
